Fall Trends

As the summer comes to a close and we turn to a new season, it is time to evaluate the new trends that will be heading our way. This year we see rich colors, luxe fabrics, and structured designs on the horizon.

Trend #1 – Green. This season, green makes its way back into our hearts and closets. The best part of this trend is that it is not just one shade of green, it is all of them! From emerald to olive, they are all welcome. So, sport it on your handbag, necklace, or blouse because this color will have you turning heads all season!

Trend #2 – Navy. This deep blue hue is said to be the new neutral. Designers say to pair it with black or a brighter color to explore the versatility of this stand-by color.

Trend #3 – Cherry Red. Makeup artists are splashing this color onto the lips of fashionistas everywhere. Reminiscent of the turning leaves outside, this bright red will add a subtle pop to your wardrobe.

Trend #4 – Leather Leggings. We have watched the evolution of the legging craze over the last couple of years with the reintroduction of the cotton legging and the invention of the jegging, but now we move onto a more edgy look with the leather adaptation. This style was previously one reserved for motorcyclists and hairband members, but today we see celebrities and housewives alike flocking to premier designers such a Gautier to get their hands on this hot style. Designers say to mix the skin-hugging pants with a loose fitting blouse to offset the tightness. This will give a refined touch to such a daring look.

Trend #5 – The Jacket. Every year a new style of outerwear sweeps us off of our feet and into its arms. What is this year’s must-have anorak? It is a collard, button-down jacket. This look is simple, but speaks volumes with its high level of sophistication. It is perfect to wear with a skirt and blouse or to slip over a dress.

Trend #6 – The Smoking Slipper. Not everyone is into high heels 24/7 and for the past few years the alternative has been ballet flats. Well, not this year! We introduce to you the smoking slipper. It is a fun way to be comfy and trendy at the same time. The best part of these gems is that they look great in a neutral so they can be paired with several outfits or they can sass up your threads with a fun print like leopard.

Trend #7 – Boy Style. Fashionistas are letting their inner tough girl out by donning traditionally male pieces such as vests, blazers, and button-down blouses. This masculine attire will help your fashion pack a punch.

Trend #8 – Brooches. To soften the tough tone of the boyish garb a little, ladies are adorning themselves with brooches. Yes, I said brooches, as in more than one. Multiples of the glittering accessory at once are the way to go this fall. More is better is the recurring theme that can be seen on fashionistas across the globe.

Trend #9 – Digital Prints. This trend is giving a futuristic look to previously traditional foundations. Black and white color blocking is the hot new look for skirts, and digital prints bursting with color are garnishing pants and dresses.

Trend #10 – Structured Handbags. Distinct lines and a polished appearance is the look for your designer handbag to have this fall. Prada, YSL, Fendi, and Valentino are said to be the go-to fashion houses that will be delivering this season’s “it” bags. Since these designers are known to have expensive items, it can be hard for the budget conscious fashionista to get her hands on one. However, online stores such as Queen Bee of Beverly Hills offer authentic designer handbags at a discount making it easier for you to keep up with the trends this season.
