Red Hair Color, Fair Skin and Poor Tanning Ability

Red hair color, Fair skin and Poor tanning ability (RHC-trait) – A Treatable condition? Peptides may be the answer some are looking for. Peptides can alter one’s melanocytes creating a synthetic tan. Folks are researching with research peptides GHRP-6, IGF-1, Melanotan 2 (MT-II), GH sharing experience via the world wide web as doctors are unaware of most peptides. Caution is advised when using peptides for research.

Melanotan One is the peptide of choice when it comes to the variant alleles of the human MC1R. Those the most suited to benefit from the peptide are strongly associated with red hair color, fair skin and poor tanning ability (RHC-trait). Naturally melanocytes in those with red hair, fair skin and sun allergies are markedly less effective. Synthetic melanocyte stimulation via peptides are highly efficacious for those with RHC trait. The consequences of such a deficit are that you are a ginger and have no soul. Kidding of course!

Fortunately human melanocytes have now been evaluated for the variant. The ability of melanocortin peptides to increase transcription of cAMP-dependent pigmentation genes was abrogated in melanocytes with RHC-associated variant alleles, an effect that may contribute to the RHC phenotype. Melanocytes expressing RHC variants of MC1R which may be relevant for the poor tanning ability associated with individuals possessing these alleles. Synthetic administration overcomes these challenges. Future peptide delivery systems will change the world of medicine.

Melanocyte growth factors may prove to have synergy. Long term or permanent change can occur with the Melanotan 2, IGF-1, and growth hormone peptides to the melanocyte. A thicker epidermis is desirable for the common ginger/RHC who is lacking naturally. IGF-I appears to play a role in melanocyte growth and function and is complemented by growth hormone peptides (growth hormone alone is ineffective). Growing melanomas is not something to advise… see your dermatologist. IGF-1 and growth factors stimulate melanocyte growth in a dose dependent fashion. Remember melanocyte growth is enhanced when GH is combined with either IGF-1.

The addition of Melanocyte stimulating hormone ( Melanotan 2 peptide) is the icing on the cake for the RHC crowd. What can IGF-1, HGH, and MT-II do for you is indeed the question…
